Variants are typically a slightly different version or set of data based on the original product. For this example, we will assume our main product comes in different flavors.

Display

The results will show in a grid view similar to the search panel.  This tab allows filters and sorts on the main header.

Actions

Click New Variation button to create a new variant from the existing or main item.  

Any new variant created will essentially clone the main product information – allowing you to edit the form for the new variant.

If variant information needs to be updated, click the variant Product Name link to edit the form information.

Variant details and screenviews mimic those of the main product page.  The only difference is variants have their own linked data.

Variant Linked Data

The main product and any other variants from that product will show.

Projects, Vendors, Consumer Response, and Testing are all specific to the detail view for this variant.
