Setting a User’s Password

Users can always use the Forgot My Password functionality to regain access if they’ve lost their password.  However, it is sometimes easier to manually set a user’s password to known value, which you can simply give them.

  1. Access the User Details screen for the account in question.
  2. Enter a new password, and enter it again to confirm.
  3. Click Save Changes.

At this point, you will need to communicate with the user directly in order to provide the new password.

Automatically Resetting a User’s Password

In addition to manually setting a user’s password, you can also send the customer a “password reset” notification, which will assign them a random password and send them an email to grant them access to the site.

  1. Access the User Details screen for the account in question.
  2. Simply click the Save Changes and Notify User button.
