Passwords
Setting a User’s Password
Users can always use the Forgot My Password functionality to regain access if they’ve lost their password. However, it is sometimes easier to manually set a user’s password to known value, which you can simply give them.
- Access the User Details screen for the account in question.
- Enter a new password, and enter it again to confirm.
- Click Save Changes.
At this point, you will need to communicate with the user directly in order to provide the new password.
Automatically Resetting a User’s Password
In addition to manually setting a user’s password, you can also send the customer a “password reset” notification, which will assign them a random password and send them an email to grant them access to the site.
- Access the User Details screen for the account in question.
- Simply click the Save Changes and Notify User button.
