The status tab provides an area for users to initiate and participate in threaded chats related to selected projects. This tab becomes the communication hub that maintains the history of all converstations about a particular project. 

Starting a New Topic

1. To start a new topic, select the Add Topic button at the top if the table.
2. The Creating New Topic pop-up window will open. Enter a Subject and Message into the text fields.
3. A reference file can be added to the post by selecting the Choose File button and browsing for the desired file to attach.
4. Select Save Message to post the new topic to the Discussion table.
5. Select the X in the upper right corner to cancel the new post.

Adding to a Topic

1. Double-click a topic from the Discussion table to view entries. The Viewing Discussion Thread pop-up window will open that shows all entries for the selected topic.
2. Select the Add To Discussion button. The Adding To Discussion pop-up window will open, which contains the same fields as the Creating New Topic window.
3. Select the Save Message button to post comments to the thread. The new posting will appear below the initial post of the thread.
